Being tested
Dane Miller offers some advice on the testing of our faithfulness in his blog:
“How can we expect God to send His Only Begotten Son to suffer for all humanity and we as adopted sons NOT expect to suffer for the benefit of ourselves and others? In
trials we personally benefit because the trying of our faith worketh patience which brings us into perfection
(James 1:3-4).
Apart from being perfected, holding unto God and passing the test always results in a testimony, which we can use to testify and inspire others. Don’t take it personally and be affected by the “Why Me Syndrome!” It is not about us, but it’s what the test can do for us/others that matters.”

It’s that time of year! We are beginning to collect items to fill shoeboxes with gifts for children around the world.
“By filling ordinary shoeboxes full of toys and other fun items, you can be part of giving boys and girls what may be their first gift ever!”
Go to samaritanspurse.org/occ for a list of suggestions for either a girl or boy shoebox. You can pack a box of your own and bring it in or you can donate items for the children to use while they pack boxes during Sunday School.
